I apologize if this is a repeat thread but, I was curious to see what case or cases everyone uses. I use the Flipcover for my primary case. I'm thinking about getting a RhinoPak3000 for travel to carry all my accessories (Visor, Stowaway, Thinmodem, styli, extra batteries, phone).

I have my Visor in a Rhinoskin ShockSuit, and carry it (in the ShockSuit) and my Stowaway in a Rhinopak 3000. I keep my Thinmodem+ mainly in my Visor, and also carry batteries, phone cord, Backup module, 8MB Flash module, MemPlug, pen, and a pencil. Works great.

The only thing left is my FullCharge from eXtend (7 weeks, come on guys....), hopefully the AC and auto adapter will both fit in there, too. Then I will be set to travel and use the Internet with impunity.

WOW! That looks like a good alternative to the RhinoPak 3000. It's getting harder to decide now.

I use a Vaja flipcase with belt clip. I really like the way it works. I did have a rhodiana but didn't like how I had to remove the Visor. I wish Vaja would come out with some zippered models or even a non-leather case.

That's because the link included the period at the end of the sentance, so it came up as a non-registered URL. Just take the period off, and it works fine.

I'm using a Rhodiana case with the elastic straps on the back to make the unit stick to your hand.
I carry it in a Landware Burro-Pak shoulder holster.

If you want to include your chargers too, take a look at the SyGear SyQuest case. I use it to carry my Stowaway keyboard, Geode GPS module, EyeModule2 camera, OmniSky wireless modem and charger, backup module, travel charger, spare batteries, homemade antenna, BrainWash screen cleaner,...

It's about half the size of a small laptop case, and very clean looking. It's made for the SyQuest external drives, but is perfect for HandSpring gears. The best thing about it is that you can get it for $1 (I did) through the Express Auction at egghead.com (just be patient)--and don't tell anyone. Let's not drive up demand. Shhhhh....

I use the flipcover, and the basic slipcover case that came with my VDx. I thought about getting another case before I got the flipcover, but I do not think I need one now. Some of those leather cases seem nice also.

My 'go to' case is the Rhinoskin 1100 with a cleaning cloth, and a couple modificatiosn I made.

- I hold the Visor snap cover in the elastic loops, and snap the Visor in that way.
- I sewed on a buckle-type belt strap with a D-ring on the top so I can clip it onto a belt-loop clip I made. (I am a BIG guy, and if I wear it on my belt, or try to use the Vaja-type clips, I press against the case too much and it either pops open or off, or is uncomfortable)
- I sewed a little elastic inot the folding section for a spare stylus.
- Sprayed the whole thing well with ScotchGuard.

I use the Rhinoskin 2000 for the keyboard and other accessories (modules, cleaning supplies, etc.) I can drop the 2000 into my briefcase or backpack easily and be quite mobile!

I also use a Handsping/Incase Sport Case, and a few others as the moods hit.

Well, everything is here, and I just jammed it all in! I did have to take my Visor out of the ShockSuit, but I was doing that a lot anyway, to use the Stowaway. The ShockSuit sits on my desk, waiting for another trip out to the plant again. It's great for that.

So, here are the contents of my Rhinoskin 3000:

Since I took the Visor out of the ShockSuit, I used the Visor hard cover and put it behind the elastic straps, and I hook the Visor in, with the screen facing the hard cover, to prevent any mishaps. True, it's all a tight fit, but nothing is stressed too badly, and it surely beats lugging the laptop around.

VPR

VPR with the 16mg hawigara in a Vaja magnetic flip case no belt clip. I luv the look and feel of the case, but the puckering around the hotsync port sort of looks cheap. Its a classy looking case.

Another vote for the Rhodiana. I've used it with a belt clip for the last year, and am extremely satisfied with it.

If you like a utilitian look to your case (as opposed to the elegant/expensive look of the Vaja cases), check it out.

investment protection

When I am on my motorcycle or bicycle, I put my havndheld in an Otterbox 2000 series. I found it's the only one that fits the Visor and Phone together.

When I am on the go, I usually put the Visor in my back or jacket pocket.

I'm using an Eagle Creek pouch that has space for the Visor, one standard module, and an outside slot for my cell phone. It has a pretty sturdy belt clip and a plastic sheet inside that protects the PDA nicely. I bought it at REI for $16 but can't find the same thing on the Eagle Creek or REI web sites. The "Data Pod" on the sites looks similar but without the slot for the phone and with a different attachment.
