I tried moving my Mapopolis databases over and quite a different result. My maps show up with no information in them and I get a fatal exception when I try to quit. Are you using the Basic or Enhanced maps?

*The same thing happened to me*, so I asked Travis how he did it.

piDevloper did say mapopolis did not work with memplug. But we can still hope can't we?

I heard the limit is ten apps/databases. Apparently though this is for the unregistered version only. Hopefully we'll actually be able to BUY it soon.

Hey, if 10 is the limit, then maybe that's my problem with missing icons etc. Duh!!!

I can't live with just 10!. HandyShopper takes up 3 by itself.

Why do I always want for more? Why can't I just be satisfied with what I have???????

Unhappy Twilight Zone

Okay, things are weird. Just to make sure I wasnt dreaming I did the following:

1. Move all Map files from Memplug to RAM
2. Run Mapopolis everything okay as expected.
3. Move all Map files from RAM to Memplug
4. Run Mapopolis loads slow as expected. Then I get a fatal exception error.
5. After reset, Message pops up saying Mapopolis ended unexpectedly. All Maps will be verified this may take a few minutes.
6. Then got an Error 771
7. Hit OK to acknowledge error
8. Then got another Error 771
9. Hit OK to acknowledge error
10. Then got another Error 771 (Seeing a pattern here)
11. Hit OK to acknowledge error
12. Wait, whats this it pulls up a MAP!!!!
13. Hit Menu, then View Maps button, and it shows all the Maps I moved to the Memplug!!!!
14. Pick a Map and hit view.
15. Error 771 ---- Arrghhhhh!
16. Hit OK to acknowledge error ---- Not this again
17. Map pulls up fine!!!
18. Hit find address --- It works!!!!

So in conclusion Id just like to say. . .

Dahhh, I dont know!

Mapopolis choked when the program was on the PiDirect but works fine with the program in memory and the maps on the card. (Albeit a little slow)

I have been working with PiDirect and can not get it to work. I have erased and reinstalled, change the programs I am trying to use, Check the spelling and case of the files, disabled hacks, and it still crashes when I try to leave PiDirect.

Here is what I have:
Platnum
64 MB card
Files on the MemPlug are:
\Palm\PiDirect\ <programs and data>

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I thought maybe it was a hackmaster conflict, but I disabled it.
I thought maybe it was a launcherIII conflict buy I tried the default launcher.

The same apps work/run/show icon perfectly when moved back into the launcher directory.
Could you explain???

ps. Is there still a "LIMIT" on how many apps we can put on the beta version? I'm really having alot of fun!

Please make sure your have not place more than 10 files under the \Palm\PiDirect\ sub-directory. Extra files will just be ignored by PiDirect in this beta.

If you still have the problem, please download the error report form, fill in it and send it to [email protected]
with subject: Submit PiDirect Error Report Form

And we will try to get an answer for you.
Please read the manual about limitation and errata for PiDirect.
Thx.

Hi,

Pls narrow down the problem by place one or two simple application on \Palm\PiDirect to verify it work first.

If you still have any problem, feel free to email our support team.

That's hilarious.

I finally get my piDirect to work. Then I figure out how to move those files, and I start going to town.

BAM! I hit the wall at 10 subdirectory limit.

noooooooo! set me free! I got a taste of the good life! I must have more!

OK, BETA testing's done, NEXT STEP, PLEASE.

FYI - For the record, Vegas Slots and PalmJongg work prefectly with PiDirect, no problem I've discovered.

EricG,
Someone informed me after that post, that the reason my icons didn't show was because I had exceeded my 10 app limit.
BooHoooooooo!

LIMITS SUCK
