GPS location

does the GPS system have to sit straight up and down to work or can you have it laying down and still have it work?

Unless laying it down obstructs the antenna, position doesn't really matter. When I was trying out my HandyGPS Pro, I tried it in several positions, and noticed no difference in signal.
