aim you put yourself in that boat hack programs= viruses beware of that stuff, i scrambled a memplug doing just that but they were very good about the warranty since i had it less than 3 months my suggestion to you is get rid of all those hacks im poor too, so what ive done to solve this problem is i buy software on ebay for very cheap, (less than $5 for 36,000 titles), reinstall the battery back up critical data somewhere other than in backup i.e. word etc using copy paste and reinstall your backup from scratch, hope it works out for you, and if you send in your memplug for warranty be sure not to tell them about those hack programs just send a email saying that it malfunctioned and if they could send you an email authorizing you to take it back to the store, since i bought mine at comp usa where they have a no returns after 15 days policy, i smacked that email in their faces and told em flat out that they didnt, so they gave me store credit, i actually did better than an exchange becvause the memplug was now $20 less than what i paid the first time, so i made out with an extry twenty bucks.

Cool

I've been using my replacement battery for about a week now, and I love it!

Replacement was easy, except (as somebody else mentioned) they failed to warn me that the old battery was glued in. Actually it was held with very strong tape. By carefully pulling I managed to peel the battery from the backplane.

Just be careful of the wires to the speaker, and inspect the old battery's plug in place before you remove it. Then plug the new battery in the same way.

The new battery does seem to be stronger.
