With all the controversy surrounding the MiniJam, I wanted to know how many people have pre-ordered or are definately going to order once it is released? As some of you may know, I've placed my pre-order. I'm getting the 64MB Ice!

I ordered 64MB! I don't care for voice recording feature but I want to have an MP3 player. Also I want more memory so that I can install Merck Manual(4MB+) & other reference for my work. At first I thought it was pretty expensive, but it doesn't seem so bad since I found out that I can use its memory for other stuff than music. Can't wait !

I'm hoping it'll fit in my Fossil case...Wonder when Innogear starts selling their case.

Although disappointed about the lack of voice recording, I let my order stand. Mainly for the memory features.

I preordered a 64MB module, mainly because of the storage space, but also because having music with me at all times, in a small package is pretty cool. Since the price is very comparable to a RIO or Nomad, I'd say that the ability to hook it up to my Visor is the deal maker. I can't wait 'til they ship!

Thumbs up

I also ordered the 64mb - for the memory. (And probably a few MP3's.)

I'm going to get it when I see some reviews on it... if I like the reviews!

I pre-ordered the 64MB as well.

As far as Innogear goes, they certainly can improve on some of their communications. But I do business with a bunch of idiots who have made me much angrier than Innogear (e.g. US West, MCI worldcom, Dell)

I'm getting it too -- ice, 64meg. I like the idea of being able to carry almost every application I have downloaded, and the MP3 bit makes a nice bonus. Personally, I'll probably be loading it with low-quality radio shows instead of CD quality music. At five minutes a meg, five hours or so on an MP3 player is pretty attractive.

Question

I am tempted to get on the band wagon at the early stage of the game, more because I'm worried about not being able to get a minijam promptly later on (everyone remembers the visor shippinng nightmere). On the other hand I would like to see what a few objective buyers have to say about it before I leap.
Does anyone know if Innogear will be prepared for a possible mad rush for their product following its debut?

I wanted the springboard but was put off by the price. I ordered anyway (64mb Ice) because of the potential wait later on. Now, if they don't delay shipping, I would be greatful.

I am really hoping that that it comes with 1 64mb MMC, instead of 2 32mb MMC's. Either way, I'm going to get another 64mb MMC...

Hey LarryN,
I'm moving from NY to Boston on August 1 (with my visor). Maybe when you get your minijam I can come check it out? (no, that's not a pickup line!)

I couldn't resist ordering a 64MB to listen to tunes on the way to work. I am also prepared for further delays.

Sure, no problem asonnebe...

I hope that I get it that soon. Oh, and BTW, I got confirmation from Innogear that the 64mb version does come with one 64mb MMC, and not two 32mb MMCs... Psych!

I initally placed a preorder for one, but changed my mind and cancelled it.

A couple of reasons:

1) For $260, I didn't want to be the first person to try one out. I read the reviews first

2) For $260, I can get a Creative Nomad II MP3 player with voice recording capablilty and an AM/FM radio. For the things I think I want to use this for, that might be superior...
