Every morning at 7:00 a.m. I wake up to the sound of my Powerbook powering up for the day. As I brush my teeth and comb my hair, it just sits there, doing nothing. When I come back for it 30 minutes later it is still doing nothing, and hurridly I have to hot-sync my Visor and wait an eternity while it goes through AvantGo, etc.
Is there a way to make my Visor hotsync automatically at startup? Is there a file I can put in the startup folder that will do that? Is there some Applescript I can write/copy?
Thanks,
2MB.

I use BackupBuddy, which comes with an AutoSync feature.

there is a program called autosync which can be found on palmgear. I have tried it and like it pretty well. Life has gotten a little more complicated now that I have both the thinmodem+ and xircom wirless. But it can have 2 schedules. I have one for 5:00am so I can read avantgo and email while taking the dog out and one for every 15minutes at work to accomodate the wireless module.
Only problem is that I wish it would allow you to select the network along with the schedule as I have to remember to change after leaving work. Guess if I got an access point for the house that would alleviate some problems hmm......
Overall not bad for a program that is over a year old. $10.00 is registration fee.

For some reason, that program didn't work for me. Every morning, it just didn't do anything. Every so often it did, actually, but hardly ever.

I had problems too until I remembered to enable the autosync helper from x-master. The settings for the helper on mine are disable powered cradle check and auto off enabled with a sensitivity of 6 sec.
Of course I either use the thinmodem+ or the xircom so I never use it in combo with the cradle for autosync.....
