Well said. At the mall, that's not terrible, in the locker room, very terrible. I've known people to wrap a shirt around their waist to hide their butt in public. Perfect solution there. My guideline is that if you are in a place that a child of the opposite sex can see you then it's fair game for picture. This is my rough definition of a public place.
As for people taking pictures of children, people get the idea of an sleezy looking old man doing it. However if a little old lady were doing it, or even any female, you'd probably be more apt to think it was for a local newspaper or something not sleezy.
I hate to say, but you've been able to take pictures of children for quite a few a years if that was your inclination. A camera phone doesn't make this any different. In fact, I'd guess the people that do this would use something better than crappy camera on a phone and something more on the line of a spy camera.
Of course for pointing out this, I now will have 600 people thinking I'm some sort of pediphile or person who doesn't appreciate privacy. I'm sure I'm more concerned about both than 90% of the people on this board, and I've been here since the first VisorCentral days.
