Ok, I would like to start a poll.

Since I am new to the whole PDA scene and most of you are familiar with PalmOS software, let me (and others) know what applications you use and for what.

This will help me decide what to put on mine, as currently I am swimming in a sea of shareware stuff on the net.

I hope I am not to vague in asking this. I do not mean, which synch program do you use, or do you use outlook or netscape... I mean for a rough sketch example:

TealDoc - ebook Reader
Quo Vadis - Maps
Shopmaster - Shopping lists
PocketMirror - Synching

etc etc

That way I might get an idea of how this PDA will incorporate itself into my life (what it can and can not do) and possibly help/prevent others from spending sensless cash to register apps that they might have been previously warned against.

Thanks in advance.

Hi-

I asked this question a while ago and got a great response. Do a search of my name and the thread is entitled "Gotta have add-ons."

Later.

Action Names by Iambic ties togehter calls, meetings and to do's from the schedule program.

Address Pro by Jacob Zinger - enhnacement to address book allow sorting in just about any field

ToDo Plus by Hands High software works seemlessly with Action Names

PhoneLog by Hands High software keeps track of phone calls messages etc works seemlessly with address book.

Expenz Pro by zoskware great program exports .csv format to be used in Excel.

Highway Log by Christian Vendendorpe great for keeping track of car expenses and mileage.

BrainForest by Aportis - idea outline tracker.

BugMe by Haus of Maus essential quick alarm program for those quick reminders or even long term reminders.

I'd suggest that you go to http://www.palmgear.com and review their top 50 downloads and their suggested essentials. Most of this stuff is shareware so you can try before you buy and see what's best for you. That's how I discoverd most of these.
