Question

Has anyone had luck using the Total Recall Voice Recorder Desktop utility? Mine refuses to install properly. I can open the program on my PC, but none of my module's messages appear after hotsyncing. In fact, the "User" name box is blank, so I suspect the CD installation has not even linked my personal files with the program. And viewing the Hotsync "Custom" menu shows nothing relating to a Total Recall conduit.

I've tried uninstalling, then reinstalling, but I get the same results. The product manual (CD version) doesn't provide any clues. Any help out there?

Dont give up, I am trying to remember, installed mine about 2 weeks ago and same issue, but I got it to work. Try going into palm desktop, and click the hotsync tab at the top, then make sure voice comm apperars and says sync files next to it, if not hit change to change it...I just can't Recall how I got this fixed.

I don't show anything related to Total Recal or "voice" under the hotsync.

Unhappy frustrated

I've had problems all around with this springboard.
My voice messages won't syncronize with the desktop. I to installed and reinstalled the desktop but to no avail. I called tech support. They told me to do a hard reset on my visor. All this did was wipe my memory off visor. Lucky I had a backup. The unit still won't synch with my desktop. I looked in the hot sync manager and saw nothing for total recall. Targus is supposed to email me back tommorrow.

Talking Got my desktop application working

I was having the same problem - I installed (and reinstalled) the desktop application but it wasn't synching my voice files.

I finally solved it by downloading the latest Palm desktop from handspring.com and installing it. First unistalled the Total Recall desktop. Had to reinstall Pocket Mirror 3.0 Pro since the Palm desktop overwrote the condiuts. I reinstalled Total Recall after I reinstalled the Total Recall desktop and viola! everything worked.
