Question

Hi all--

I have a Graphite VDX, which I absolutely love and have been nothing less than thrilled with!

I'm looking to buy a PDA for my brother as a high school graduation present. Since he's never had one before, I'm thinking a low-end starter model, namely the Visor or the Palm IIIx.

I can get the Palm IIIx for $150, I know; does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not we can expect Visor prices to drop, now that it's in retail channels?

Thanks in advance--
Eric

I'd spend the extra $20 or so and get the Visor, just for the springboard, but thats just me. I migrated to a Graphite VD yesterday, and I love it.

Thumbs up

I probably will...I just wanted to know if anyone had heard any rumors about price cuts in the retail channels.

I don't mind spending the money, but if I can wait a few weeks and spend $20-$30 less, that would be even better!

I highly doubt the price will drop. Usually companies like these try to keep their price the same so there's no incentive to wait. Maybe after a couple of years the price will drop by $20.

I was thinking about the same thing, but a wise choice for companies is to keep their prices the same. OC Tanner keep all their gold watches the same price and they even higher it a little every year. TI keeps their calculators all the same price, when the TI-83 came out it costs slightly less than $100, that was 4 years ago. Now it's about $83.
