Question

As a new Visor user, I'm interested in hotsync via IR on my Compaq Armada E500 notebook, in Win98.

I've had no luck with this so far. Can anybody point me to the answer? I suspect it's been answered here before.

I have my IR enabled, and in Palm Desktop Hotsync Settings I've enabled Com4, which is the IR port.

Thanks

Richard

You need 3rd party software to do IR hotsyncs. It has been heavily discussed here in the past, however I'm not having any luck searching this morning . One app is called IRLink form ISComplete. There are also some freeware apps out there as well.

Wink

Richard, search for topics

Ericsson DI27 Infra-red for Beamsync

and

IR Syncing with BeamSync

(searching for 'IRLink' will do the job).

The first topic describes the installation of IRenhance (www.palm.com) and BeamSync (freeware application, but it works fine). The second topic is useful if you have troubles with your notebook's serial ports.

Good luck
Tomaz
