Thumbs up

I finally got my Stowaway today from Amazon.com (ordered on 11/19 and supposedly "in stock - shipping in 24 hours" - but that's another post).

Can you Stowaway users share some of your tricks or tips on using it? For example:

What's the best solution for typing on your lap? Carry a book or other support, or just balance and do the best you can?

I also have an EB Slipper case - when I first tried to type on my lap, it did a backflip off the Stowaway and onto the (thankfully) carpeted floor . Is it better to take it out of the case to use on your lap?

Is there a way to access individual memos, or menu items from they keyboard? I know how to get to the Memo application and go through the categories, but can you select a memo from they keyboard, or do you have to use the stylus?

Please share any other tricks you guys have learned!

Here's a link to a post I did about what I use as a "lap desk". I also use it to carry my stowaway (and a mini tape recorder). I would post a picture, but I'm in the stone age and don't have a digital camera.

With the ToDo List, just start typing and a new "ToDo" begins. I have not found a way to enter a previously written memo or todo from the keyboard. I also use Word Complete which is very helpful with manual entries. I have asked Targus and Word Complete if there is any way to select the options from the keyboard. Both, sadly, found no way.

Dvorak

If you download the developer's kit you can try the 1.5Beta driver which supports Dvorak and normal tab function.

Cool

As it turns out, a Visor in a Rhodiana and a Stowaway will fit neatly in a Landware BurroPak. So now I'm always ready for word-processing action.
