Unhappy

The screen on my Visor Deluxe is gradually darkening. The area with text looks "dirty" and is getting hard to read. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the unit need to be replaced?

This may be too obvious but did you check your contrast adjustment?

Today I did a hotsync with a new Avantgo program and when I tried to access the program got a "fatal error" message. After the Visor reset itself the screen was much darker and streaky which I thought meant it was damaged. After turning the Visor off and and on again it was still dark and streaked. I then checked the contrast adjustment and found it had been moved all the way to the right. Readjusting it restored the screen to normal clarity.

Thumbs up

Just the Q&A I was looking for
Glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was starting to get streaking but it turns out the reset changed the contrast setting, just as you said.
My screen is clear again. Hooray!

Further discussion of Avantgo related crashes /fatal errors and how to fix them is in the "Avantgo Problem" topic further down in this discussion.
