Question

some reviews say that the visor has speakers, other reviews say that the visor doesn't have speakers. Does the Visor have speakers?

Lightbulb

It makes sounds. I think it has just one speaker. does basic tunes and beeps. Nothing to play mp3's of.

Question

Well the Visor does make sounds, plays tunes, and generally responds audibly to digital commands. (I do have Visor BTW and will attest to this)... It's certainly not hi-fi. Perhaps you're thinking of something else - we're talking plain speaker here, unless you have a different definition of a speaker?

Cool

Thanx for the info. I want a speaker that can remind me for meetings or as an alarm. The main use of my device will be reminding me about board meetings and other events. Thanx for the info.

PenGin,

It will do that. I would suggest big clock as an alternative if you want different sounds.

Cool

For the ultimate in geek cool, try Trek Sounds Hack (includes special sounds for alarms). Warning: working on your Visor with Trek sounds on high may cause trekkie co-workers to permanently turn a dark shade of green - - less enlightened co-workers may come for you with torches and farm implements!!

It has a piezo electric speaker like on a mother board. It's not very loud, esp. if its in your pocket or jacket, my pager is louder then the visor. And I do love my trek sounds I wonder if it is making my battery drain much faster
