Im also a Vprism owner and love it. Personally I never noticed the flicker but I still did download the contrast utility from Handspring and not only does it supposedly solve the flicker problem, it makes your screen look a lot sharper and nicer.
If you dont want to download the Contrast utility there is a hidden Easter Egg in the Visor Prism that is pretty kewl. What you need to do is go to preferences and change the date back to Jan 1, 1904. Then hold the power button down as if you are trying to change the brightness. But in fact when you do try to change the brightness it will really change the contrast.
Its a pretty kewl weird hidden thing (like who woulda thought that Jan 1, 1904 changes the contrast?), but I recommend you just download the utility because its easier.
