I should caution you about the hack called Dimmer. I recently deleted it from my Prism after it caused a few fatal errors, one of which wiped out all my data. It seems to me that the program messes up with the processing of data.

Im also a Vprism owner and love it. Personally I never noticed the flicker but I still did download the contrast utility from Handspring and not only does it supposedly solve the flicker problem, it makes your screen look a lot sharper and nicer.

If you dont want to download the Contrast utility there is a hidden Easter Egg in the Visor Prism that is pretty kewl. What you need to do is go to preferences and change the date back to Jan 1, 1904. Then hold the power button down as if you are trying to change the brightness. But in fact when you do try to change the brightness it will really change the contrast.

Its a pretty kewl weird hidden thing (like who woulda thought that Jan 1, 1904 changes the contrast?), but I recommend you just download the utility because its easier.

It works great. I set Auto Off to 3 min, but Dim to 30 sec. This help a lot when I am updating my PocketQuicken, which takes several minutes (mostly waiting for my online banking to update the screens).
