Question

Recently got my visorphone operational;
2nd day; it's quite a sensitive module to contact; ie; stylus removal/placement or grasp pressure about the module causes the screen to change mode, turn on/off or to redial the last call - anyone else ?
Also, I cannot get the ringer changes to function; I'm following the manual but to no success. anyone else ?
I've tried to use the handspring and a plantronics headset with little or no consistency to a connection to function. anyone else ?
Has anyone had issues in exchanging their module with Handspring; I've sent a customer support email with the same concerns, we'll see !
Thanks
Chris

I have no real knowledge on this.
But I do remember JH in one of the recent articles / profiles (maybe it was that guest spot on Charlie Rose he did) where you could see he was pretty emphatic about the key to the "simplicity" philos. was MAKE SURE IT WORKS. I think he noted that the phone "can" do e-mail, faxing, etc. -- but mostly, "we just want people to know they have a good, reliable phone" (or something -- my paraphrase).

Also, if HS wants to "Platinum Certify" other mfgs., etc. (taking Palm's lead, etc.) -- they've got to be pretty sure they put out pretty solid products themselves.

All this is the long way around (sorry) for me to say I'd bet the unit you have is a bit faulty; see if you can get it replaced.

I'd suggest calling HS and having them send you a replacement. I did when my ringer stopped working, and they shipped out a new one right away. No problems now.
