How do I create an underscore character using graffiti ? I can't find it it user guide. The only way I know is using the alpha keyboard.

To create an Underscore in Graffiti, you first tap to go into the punctuation mode and the start from the left go across and come back. It is available in Graffiti help.

When I drag my stylus from the alphabetic graffiti entry area up onto the main screen, I (and most people using default settings in Preferences) get a Graffiti Help screen.

Hitting the pagedown button 3 times takes us to a screen that shows the underscore character. It suggests a tap (punctuation shift) , then drag your pen from left to right horizontally then back (rt to left) over the stroke you just drew. This produces an underscore character.

If you don't get the Graffiti help screen when you drag from the alpha area to the large upper screen, run the Prefs app, select "Buttons" from the pulldown in upper right, tap "Pen" at the bottom of this screen, and select "Graffiti Help". Other options here include Backlight, Keyboard, Turn Off and Lock, and Beam Data.
