Are there ever actually going to be any of these things? I'm ready for an MP3 player. Or a modem (and not Handsprings, how about 56k?) What can you actually get right now. Tiger Woods Golf...not usefull to me. 8 MB of memory. At some point I guess this would be usefull, but not if I had an MP3 player with 64MB of flash memory. Backup module? Nah. Use software.

That's my rant for today. Maybe tomorrow I'll ***** that my serial cradle is dead, waiting for the replacement, and the USB cradle on my desk has never been used because I run Windows 2000.

Checked Pacific Neo-Tek's site, excited that the OmniRemote module was shipping, but alas
it does not work with the Visor.(or PalmV)
It attaches to bottom of palm devices.
Hopefully, they will soon release a Springboard version!

the "400%" is comparing to PalmIII, which is much less powerful than Visor's IR port.

I get about 6-10 range, which is useless if I'm sitting at the other end of the room. Others get more, while some get less. The OmniRemote would definitely help. That being said, I find it somewhat hard to use a Visor as a remote in a dark room. The other thing I find annoying is having to tilt Visor sideways to use it - the module will put the transmitter on top - a benefit in my view.

It works, but I find it kind of awkward to hold the Visor sideways. That's personal preference though.

Re: Range.

I'm not sure what you mean about the light environment. In darkness and with light I get similar ranges. I think it has to do with the component's sensitivity too. In my setup I don't get more than about 10 feet (which is OK if I'm sitting in my couch but not elsewhere).

By the way, I've tried all the frequencies for programming because initially I was either getting no function with some components or else no more than a 4 foot range with others.
