Order my Visor Deluxe on 11/16, and I'm patiently awaiting its arrival.

I'm a PDA newbie. I've seen products in stores like IntelliSync. I was under the impression that the synching process was covered by the software that came with the Visor. Is that the case, or do you have to buy additional software? What does that software do?

Thanks!!!!

Cool

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong, but...

It is my understanding that the hotsynch software that comes with a Visor is perfectly adequate, as long as one only uses the applications that come with the Visor.
As soon as one starts using third party applications, things get tricky.

Talking

You don't have to stick with the apps that come with the Visor. I'm using Outlook98 on a Windows98 PC with no trouble.

The Address list on the Visor syncs with Outlook's "Contacts"
Memo Pad on the Visor syncs with Outlook's "Notes"
Date Book+ on the Visor syncs with Outlook's "Calendar"
To Do List on the Visor syncs with Outlook's "Tasks"
Mail on the Visor syncs with Outlook's "Inbox"
