Not that I'm unhappy with VisorCentral's discussion - it rules - but does anybody have any other favorite Palm-related discussion groups?

thanks,

Dan

palminfocenter.com has nice articles, and people comment on the articles which is nice. just scroll down after reading the article and their are comments. their forums aren't that great though, not many people go there.

I had a look at the palm.com forum. There is really a lot of traffic and you will find many informations.
But it's also quite confusing (too many topics and threads).

About Mr President: Well, i'm only a Bavarian. Maybe he has advantages: He made this cool program for our Visors possible: PortaBush .
However, cutting environmental programs is sheer nonsense. Almost the whole world is worrying about the environment, so George should do that, too.

If YOU are WORRIED about the enviroment you should do your part and pick up the trash on the ground...CLinton gave all those freaky earth goofball fanatics so much money they started closing off parks to the public--no joke--saying it would damage the parks...so they were no good to the people who were paying for them!!!

Bush on the other hand isn't some womanizer who helps give away secrets to the enemy, and doesn't spend our tax money like it grows on trees!!!

I'd agree with removing it from your sig. Not for any irrational Bush-hating reasons, but rather because it's unwieldly and destroys the flow of a discussion. If you want to downsize it and use it as an avatar, that's fine, but I would suggest taking it out of your sig.

Agreed. Plus, the desire to go after Shrub sometimes too great, seeing him makes it difficult.

Another reason you will want to shrink it and use it as an avatar is that people who get annoyed with seeing that big picture will just put you on their 'ignore' list so they don't have to look at it.

They should make PortaMao! I can see it now:

PortaMao leads Daily Excercises
PortaMao writes in his little Red Book
PortaMao disseminates propaganda and disinformation

Some would argue that the mere existence of wilderness makes the world a better place.

IF I can't use it, I want my money back. The mere existence of a iPaq on your desk is nice, but if you can't use it because your dirty up the screen its no good to you. Might as well dirty up the screen and get some use to it.

back to the topic at hand....
By: virg @ 01:18 AM

I have seen some posters from here at VC (including myself) that post at PDA Buzz [URL=http://www.pdabuzz.com].

It's also cool to hear and respond to other PDA users (PocketPC, EPOC, Linux, etc.)

Of course, VC is still the best

It's the idea of community. There are lots of things I don't use directly but which I, as a member of the community, benefit from nonetheless. Head Start is one example.

Jupe is correct. There are many things that our tax money goes to that benefit the community, economy, etc. that may not give you an immediate, obvious benefit, but are ultimately more important than you seem to realize. You probably don't benefit directly from the highways built on the other side of the country or environmental safety monitors operating two states away, but if everyone could just choose to only pay for things for which they could see an immediate and local impact, then someday you'll be *****ing about the economy going to hell because of lack of infrastructure and trying to explain to your daughter why her little brother has three eyeballs. This doesn't necessarily mean that all uses of tax money are justified (I'm sure there's plenty of porkbarrel projects that could be trimmed), but saying 'if I can't use it, I want my money back' is both selfish and short-sighted.

Note to moderators: This thread probably needs to get moved off-topic.
