I was at CompUSA last night, and I was looking at the Stowaway keyboard for the Visor. I almost bought it, but I'm still not sure it would be worth the $99. My question is - for those of you who have a stowaway, how often do you use it? If you can give it a percentage, what percent of the time would you say you use your Visor with Stowaway attached? Also, in what situations do you use your Stowaway? In conferences/meetings? At your desk? Out and about?
TIA for any experiences you can relate.

I purchased my Stowaway back in May .. since then i have used it an average of once or twice per week. This has been during meetings with customers, on airplane trips, and various times when I am away from my desktop computer but have some stuff I want to jot down (I generally reach for my visor/stowaway instead of a paper and pencil)
However, I do plan on using it on a daily basis (a few hours a day) when school starts back up in a week or two. Taking notes in class was my primary "kill app" for getting the visor/stowaway combo and I am looking forward to using it in that manner.

I use mine about every day for taking notes at various meetings, or composing email.

I've had mine since they were available in retail (May?) and have used it nearly every day. I've kept a daily journal (with DayNotez) and composed e-mail in the strangest places, which I wouldn't have done as much of with Graffiti.

One additional question I had - from the design of the Stowaway, it looks like it would be suitable only in places where you have a flat surface to set it on - since it doesn't lock into a rigid form. Is this correct?

I use mine every day. I'm dying to get a wireless modem module so that I can put the Stowaway to even more frequent use.
Yes, the Stowaway requires a flat surface. I've used in in my lap, but it rocks back and forth a little as you strike the keys. Some people can live with that, some people can't. But you can alway put a flat surface, like a book, underneath.

I think you will have to determine what times you use it. You will be surprised how often it comes in handy. My biggest benefits have been on trips, in meetings, and doing a few odds and ends at home. I don't use it everyday, but I consider it well worth the money.
As far as being rigid, it is made to fold up in the middle. While it works far better on a stable surface, I have been able to use it sitting on my lap, especially if I have a book or something to put under it.

I am the same as Cerulean here. I plan on using it a lot for note-taking in school starting next week. Should frustrate my WinCE using Chemistry teacher .

I use my Stowaway everyday. I use it during every meeting I attend, and I also keep a journal with DayNotez.
My Graffiti input is now slower that it used to be.
