Question

I was wondering if anyone out there has physically altered their memplug. What I mean by this, has anyone cut off those two nub/feet protrusions? I ask because I realize they will interfere with the leather case that my VPL snaps into. If they weren't there, maybe I'll be alright. Truthfully, I am still among the ranks of back-ordered customers from Palmgear.

Anyways, I seem to recall someone metioning that they did this. I also noticed someone cut their smartmedia card to be flush with the Visor.

So, has anyone out there done this? And what are the ramifications (if any) of such alterations?

Well I have one of those bifold leather cases. And the VPL (or any model) snaps in. Given the tight tolerances, any great increase in thickness would render my case useless. Unless of course I didn't have the module in, but I would like to be able to carry the module around in the springboard slot.

thoughts?! Other than scraping my case, which would be a bummer. . .
