Question

If I beam a category (example, a set of to-do's related to a project) to another Visor, the receiving Visor has them in the unfiled category. Similar thing happens beaming a category of contacts.

What do I do so the receiving Visor has the correct category?

Thanks

The bad news is that I don't think you can. I've gotten several people in the office interested enough in the Visor to purchase them. Then I beam them something like a phone list and they spend the next hour editing all the entries to get them into the correct catagories (use the Palm Desktop - it will make it much easier and save your batteries).

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what others have to say. I'd love to learn something new!

My coworker and I tried the same thing (what a hassle). I ended up exporting from the desktop and emailing the file to him. It shaved a lot of time for him..

I remember running across a hack (sorry, don't have the name, probably on palmgear) that let you edit the system category names (such as Unfiled). You could use the hack to rename Unfiled after a category beam, then create a new Unfiled category.

Thanks to all the info -- I sent up the other visor via the cradle, and will keep it simple for the beaming of updates.

Cheers
