Question

I am experiencing an intermittent problem.
Most of the time, when a reminder goes off, it is from Datebook+--the reminder screen has all the options on it, and the alarm sound is the one I chose and sounds for the number of times I set in Prefs.
However, occasionally, it's like the reminder comes from Datebook--the reminder screen looks like the standard Datebook screen, and the alarm is the default sound and only sounds 3 times.
I can't correlate any reason for this.
Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone found an answer?
This is only a minor, but somewhat annoying, inconvenience.

I don't know if it will fix your problem, but I have seen under Options | Default Date Book a spot to pick which one you want to use. Maybe that will correct the problem.

Thanks for the response, but I have that set to Datebook+.
What makes this frustrating is the intermittent nature of the problem. For example, the couple of reminders I had set for this morning went off in the Datebook+ mode--except the first one started with the Datebook sound, but then continued on as a Datebook+.
A mystery wrapped in an enigma.

Try doing a soft reset.

I'm a Datebk3 (the father of Datebook+) user. I have found, that after reconfiguring PalmPilot & now Visor to use Datebk3 for alarms, I always need to do a soft reset before Datebk3 controls alarms.

kalahari,
Thanks, I'll give that a try. I,too, used Datebook3 on a Palm. I hadn't thought about doing a soft reset.

Well, the soft reset appeared to work, but my first reminder went off this morning in the Datebook mode vice Datebook+. This may be one of those things that just "is."
Of course, I guess that depends of what your definition of "is" is.
Typically, I only have one inappropriate reminder a day and all the rest are fine.
Hope one of you bright young "whipper-snappers" can come up with the answer!

I had this same problem also for one of my appointments. All others only sounded my DB+ alarm, but this one alarm would sound the db then db+ alarm. Weird. Had the problem for 3 days, now today it was ok. Go figure.
