Question MemPlug, VFS, and syncing directly to the Flash

Okay. One of the things that I *really* like about the Sony Clie 710C is that you can put the PDA into the cradle, go into a special PalmOS app, and the PDA will suddenly become a Flash memory drive when Microsoft Windows looks at it. You can transfer files to and from the Flash as well as rename and delete and stuff like that.

I have a MemPlug, and am so far happy with it. But I would like to eventually have similar functionality without having to buy a separate USB drive (I'm maxed out on USB ports as it is). Pi just recently came out with VFS support for the MemPlug. Now, I know that you can to some extent (according to "http://singapore.cnet.com/pdas/features/story/0,2000027486,38014225-2,00.htm") use Clie file management on Palm M5xx devices. Is it possible that the Clie app that facilitates transfers directly from the PC to the Flash memory could be used with the MemPlug's newfound VFS support?

If not, then is there any other way to do something like this for the MemPlug, or might this sort of functionality appear in the future?
