Hello all! I was wondering if anyone else here is waiting until the Prisms go retail before you get one.
I want to do this because if it has problems I can just, hopefully, go to the store and exchange it as much as needed until I get a working one. Anyone else feel this way?
Help me! I am still not 100% sure I want a Prism. I think I do as I really like the Palm OS and if it was just $399 I would for sure. At $449 I think it is so close to the Ipaqs that they are so tempting.
I just hate MS OSs and like Handspring so much that I want to support them but these problems reported here scare me. Not that much but a little. The higher resolution of the Ipaq is nice though. But they are also supposed to be prone to crashes and problems. There also isnt as much software from what I hear. On the plus side I do have my stowaway and 8 meg flash SB and am getting a CF flash adapter to hopefully store tons of things in it.
It is so hard to commit. Please talk me into it. The people that own them; please convince me. Tell me if you also have/had an Ipaq, the bad and good of both
I will most likely go Prism as I am loyal and the help here is GREAT!
Okay now onto something else. I also have a GREAT suggestion. We need..no..no..should demand a car charger adapter for the Prism! They should design it as a cradle but one that can easily lock /unlock the Prism in. Maybe be shaped better to be attached to something in the car. I would love to be able to be as mobile as the VDx. Let me start by saying I get really bad time of my VDx battery. My Nmhids rechargeable only last about 3 hours of runtime. So I, thinking it was those, tried a brand new set of Energizers and got about the same. 3 hours of actual Runtime. That is *really* bad.
What scares me then is with such bad runtime is I can at least carry a spare set with me now. With the prisms rechargeable you cannot. So I was thinking that on your drive home or just going out on a Friday night, we could keep it charging in the car. I dont expect to actually get much better that 3 hours of actual use.
If it can actually run while in the charger and not use the battery, we then could run GPS programs or something else cool and leave it working off the car battery. That would be VERY cool!
If there already is one then sorry I didnt see it
Just was in a mood to ramble these thoughts. Long day and it just started
