You know what? Props to Handspring for sending that email to VisorPhone owners before anyone else. That was the right thing to do. Also the right thing to do, the deal. I say "ha" upon those who doubted that they would do right.

Discount?
Not that I was expecting to be able to get the Treo for $100 or something, but I don't really see this as a discount. I already had an existing service contract--one that I got through Handspring! I guess I just expected more. Is it just me?

It's a "discount" because they could make you pay $549 like anyone else who wants one and doesn't want a new contract. Instead, you're getting the hardware at hardware+contract price.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.
My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.
