Its going to be AWESOME. I think thats the only word for it. Faster note taking, more detailed notes, backup of notes on the computer (and hardcopy if needed), easier to do context searches in the notes, legiable notes, etc.etc.etc.. Not only that, but having the ability to not have to concentrate on writing down notes will allow me to actually absorb more of what is being said in class so IDEALLY I will see a reduced amount of study time.
And then there is the entire paper writing perspective where I will have a LOT more portibility (write papers at school, libraries, restaurants, etc..) than using my home computer.
Now I just need to figure out what programs would be best suited for note taking. I was thinking a new memo for each class/each day. Considering the 4000 character limit, that would be between 600 and 1000 words (Which is more than I have ever written for a class in a day).. however, ongoing discussion would be divided up between a lot of memos.. so I will probably need to get something that allows me to concentrate at the chapter level for notes that have unlimited length, easy to navigate interface (if completely by the keyboard, that would be excellent) and can be interfaced with Microsoft Word (TXT or RTF format would work..) .. Also, the ability to draw objects in the visor would also be a plus along with the ability to do tables .. have you looked into this yet?
