I am an engineer and use my palm IIIx to communicate serially (through the cradle) with some embedded devices I use at work. The problem is that I am limited in transmission speed to around 19.2K. (I have downloaded one terminal program that has a setting for 56K but I have yet to make it work.)

I am interested in upgrading to the Visor Pro and was wondering what the maximum speed I could communicate to it was using the serial port cradle? Also, seperately, I was wondering if I could make a connection to a terminal program on the visor using the IR port?

Any help/information would be appreciated.
