I, like most people, had a frustrating experience when ordering my Visor Deluxe. Now, I feel it's only fair to report how much customer service has improved at Handspring.
I recently called the Handspring customer service number to report a problem with my Visor. I was very impressed how quickly I got through and was speaking with a human being. The rep. told me my problem was covered under warranty and I would receive a replacement unit within a week. As promised, I did receive a new Visor within the week. As well, Handspring was kind enough to include a metal stylus. My impression is that they have made great strides in customer service, and for this, they deserve credit.
On a final note, this week's Newsweek includes a nice plug from Amazon's Jeff Bezos. When asked, "...what's the coolest new idea in the technology world today?", he responded, "The Handspring Visor...".
Things are looking up for Hawkins and company.
