Received my new Green Visor Dx yesterday. I would like to buy more styluses (or is it styli) just in case that I lose mine while traveling, as well as having something that weighs more without damaging the screen.

Could anyone recommend a particular product over another?

Subjective of course but the PDA Panache can rightfully be considered the stylus of choice. It's what I use.

yes, i would wholeheartily agree that the PDA Panache is a very good stylus, and if you check the user opinions on VisorCentral, you will find more similar responses.

If you normally carry a conventional pen, you might want to consider a combo pen/stylus as your extra. I sometimes wish I'd gone that route, as the styli that fit the slot always feel too skinny in my hand. I'd get one that is as heavy as possible, as the added weight of my metal replacement stylus does ease graffiti work. Still, I'd buy from a vendor that will allow you to do exchanges so you can get something that feels right to you.

I just got the Fisher space pen/stylus. It's great. Check out the reviews in Visor Central. Plus the pen writes well and is so compact. It fits perfectly in my case.

I use the Yafa 4 Palm combo stylus / pen. A review of this was on palmguru.com not too long ago, and Yafa can be found at yafa.com. I have a nerve problem in my right hand, so holding a standard stylus for more than a few minutes is painful. I needed the chunkiest thing I could find. I love this - it's even clear so it matches my Ice VDX.

Some advice however - if you're going to use a combo, I would suggest using some kind of screen protector (I use WriteRight's). I've accidently tapped my screen with the pen a few times already. I don't press hard so I'm not worried about damaging the screen, but this way I don't have to worry about the ink coming off. Also - Yafa isn't carried by very many stores. I had difficulty finding it in New York City (of all places). The only place to have it was a specialty pen store. Since then, I have seen a knock-off version a few dollars cheaper in a high-end stationary store.

I really like my Chameleon for Visor from Pentopia. The Visor-compatible one is not listed on their website, but you can get it from CompUSA.

There are other detailed threads about it, but the basics are:

- Fits perfectly in Visor/VDX silo.
- Built in refillable pen and Visor-compatible reset pin.
- Spring-loaded stylus tip with adjustable spring tension.
- About $15.00
- One color scheme: grey metal body, clear plastic ends, blue (why?) stylus point.

I just received my Stylus+4-Way pen this week and I LOVE IT. It has 4 writing points, a stylus, a black pen, a red pen, and a pencil. ( you can also get it with a highlighter option that will replace the red pen option).

I'm in the market for an oversized stylus as well. Does anyone know of a beltclip case that can accomodate one of these? I knw the 2nd generation Rhodiana does but it's not available in the beltclip version anymore of course....

I was not that happy with the YAFA 4 way. The highlighter option is not a true highlighter but a yellow orange ink for underlining.
After using at the CROSS Digiwriter I felt that has a nice feel to it, but I just don't need another (pen) in my pocket.
I have been using the PDA Panache and love the feel of it and will probalaly continue to use it. Although I would like to hear more about the Chamelon With the spring loaded stylus tip and pen. I believe that you will find that what works for others may not work in your circumstances. Hope that this helps you.

I really like the standered Handspring stylus, (the one wih reset pin in it etc.) that came with my platinum. perfect size, perfect weight. (well maybe a bit heavier would be nice. But I'm a kid so my hand's are different. A bit smaller

I've got a Platinum Pen Mini Three Action PDA Stylus that I'm happy with, it fits nicely in my carrying case / orginizer.

I just got a Platinum Visor so I will have to buy a new one as my Stylii from my previus 2 palms don't fit.
Panache has the right weight and balance. Believe, your grafitti will improve!

I highly recommend the Fisher Bullet Space Pen Stylus. The weight and size are perfect and I have even seen a bit of improvement in my Grafitti recognition. If you are looking for a place to buy a stylus, I highly recomend Styluscentral.com. They have a great selection and fantastic customer service.

I have to agree with PDAENVY. I got the Chameleon FOR VISOR stylus (T11FV) in my stocking for Christmas ... wow!
I've been looking at pen/stylus combos for months and gave my wife (er, Santa) a couple of hints. She scored a perfect 10!
Of course, I wanted one that would still fit perfectly in the Visor's silo (and still have a reset pin long enough).
If you're looking for a full size combo, then I don't recommend it it. But I'm a Swiss Army kind of guy, and since it fits in the Visor, I'm all for it.

If anyone else reads this thread at this late date, I would add that when purchasing a combo pen/stylus make sure that you can go from stylus to pen with only one required click.

My rotring requires that I click once to retract one then click again to extend another. Very irritating.

Here, Here, I need to ditto brijoco and dms3. I was a devout (sp) user of the PDA Pinnache until I use the Chameleon. It writes so smooooth and the feel of the taps alone are just the best. There is no hard clug when the stylus hits the screen, just a soft tap. That being said, I wish it were a bit longer so I could get to it easier.
