I've seen a few posts that say:

My Prism is charging as I type this.

Must be a real bummer that your new toy can't be used right out of the box... or does it come with a charged battery?

Those of you waiting for your Prism's to arrive probably want to know this answer as well...

Post They need to charge

I don't know first hand, but I would seem to think they need to be charged before use. It was this way with my PalmV.

Talking

Handspring "Start Here" card that comes with Prism says "We recommend two hours for the first full charge." It's like a torture....

It comes partially charged (maybe 30%?), so you can play with it right away if you want, but I chose to charge it first. I don't know why they don't charge it fully before shipment.

They may charge it but by the time it gets to you it might have lost 70%....

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

Mine was halfway charged when I received it. I just left it in the cradle as I did my first hotsyncs.
