Wink

Pdabuzz.com has the solution to fixing the flicker on the prisms. Its a little known secret to adjusting the contrast in the prism. You have to set the date to January 1st 1904 then hold the power button in as you would to adjust he brightness. Intstead of being the brightness it is really the contrast. Step it down just a bit and it should solve the flicker.

They're a month late. VC covered that a while ago.

Angry No help!

Sheesh, talk about giving credit where NO credit is due. If YOU read the PDABuzz article as carefully as a 5th grader would have, you would have learned that the secret was uncovered HERE one month ago. Sorry to be so harsh, but you really should read the whole story before writing about it.

ok moron

I already said I should have read further. What to you want me to do, lay before you and let you whip with a wet noodle. If you would have read my note like a 5th grader would have you would have seen that I apoligized.

Thanks, satcs!

Satcs,

Thanks for the info. Unlike others, I dont have time to scour every message board and website on certain technical issues and I appreciate the information you posted.

Don't worry about others that choose to be rude just because they can hide behind the anonymity of a message board.

tj829,
I don't know why you think that you can get away with that kind of a message on such a civil borad like VC. I personally don't think that there is any place for that on VC, and I would like it if James or Marcus would delet this thread, or atleast lock it so that it will go away.

Satcs,
I do belive that it is a good idea to search through the message boardes before posting, but I also must admit that I am guilty of posting information that has already been posted. You are the kind of person that helps a message board stay alive by trying to supply content to be discussed, and I commerate you on that.

is there a similar trick for the Platinum? mine just started "pulsing" and I have to keep inching the contrast higher every week - at about 85-90% now.

I'm thinking about taking it back to Best Buy and stepping up to the Prism

There is nothing wrong with posting a topic again. Newbies may not have seen the old post and/or not think one exists. It's a lot quicker to post a quick question and check back later than sift through hundreds of posts that have nothing to do with the question in mind. I merely pointed out that PDABuzz was a day late and a dollar short (as usual) and that the real action and problems solving power comes from discussion boards such as this.

*Edited per tacit request from VC staff.*

Please note the edit button on the upper right hand corner of your post. If you truly regret something you've posted it's easy to change it. Otherwise an apology is superfluous (and in fact a lie).

Ok people, settle down. Sometimes we forget to use the search function, and since we have new members signing up daily, everything is "new" to them.

satcs, welcome to VisorCentral! It gets better.

Ok, folks... right or wrong, serious or joke... let's all play nice! No need for personal attacks.

Remember, it's (usually) ok to attack the message... but leave the messenger alone!
