Qualcomm has the built-in cellphone (or is it built in PDA0, but there are issues to contend with. Trying to enter or look up data while on the phone and talking is difficult. Look, write, look, write, etc.

What everyone should be looking at, IMHO, is Bluetooth. A personal area network that will connect PDA, cell phone, Internet, whatever. May actually be quicker than the cell phone module.

OK, let's say Bluetooth is the answer. According to the springboards page on this site, the Blue-Connect module is coming in the 2nd quarter of this year (which could mean Christmas, going by our experience with some of these other springboards).

James' preview page lists all these things it will do for us (below).

"Beaming" an application over from Visor to Visor
* "Beaming" an address-book entry from Visor to Visor
* Visor to desktop/notebook using the Blue-Connect and the Blue-Share (address book, schedule, to do list) synchronization
* Visor to cell phones (address book, schedule synchronization)
* Using the Visor as a user interface while using a cell phone as an untethered modem
* Visor to Digital Camera (image transfer)

So the question is, what will the Blue-Connect springboard connect to? Where are the Bluetooth cellphones?

Wow! Sounds like a great idea!

Isn't that the purpose of the springboard slot, to combine all these devices? Other than the six pack I haven't seen any other springboard that truly does this. Who needs a tricorder when you have one of these and a Visor?

Now we have to wait and see how long it takes to come out.
