The Palm OS 5 machine that has a build in GPS with turn to turn navigation and MP3 capabilities...

Sounds pretty good to me. Just need to find if it works with maps for Australia..

Toolkit,

I think the iQue should work with Australian maps as long as you get the MapSource Select product. Garmin sells the unlock codes for MapSource products on its site. However you will have to be certain these will work with the iQue. Also check out this informative discussion on PIC for more info...

Thanx for that link, interesting discussion.. I guess I should change my name to 'ska'

I'm keeping this unit in mind.. hopefully prices will drop a bit (even though compared to standalone GPS units it is allready dirt cheap)

Thanks for the update ToolKit! Also, just to update about 3rd party maps, there is the unfortunate possibilty according to this thread that the iQue may not support NMEA. Thus it may only work with Garmin's Mapsource products. However, its still not certain...

UGH! Wasn't the 15th supposed to be the release date? The Garmin site still says "summer 2003"?

Alot of the GPS retailoers I wnet to now list it as coming by August 1st?! I hope that Amazon rumor is true....
