I had a similar problem last year when I first recieved my Visor. The only solution I found was to un/reinstall OE. Turned out that the problem was a glitch in OE beta 5, but it should work to resolve your issue as well. After you reinstall OE, make sure to run the Mail Setup application to configure it for use with OE again and you are off to the races.
