So far Handspring has come out with three units since the Deluxe and only one of the three has had the same form factor. That would mean future Visors very likely will not be compatible with your fancy new case. You are playing the odds if you buy the case figuring your next Visor will fit your $250 case.

Besides, the Platinum is using OS 3.5 and by next year all new units will likely be using OS 4.0. And we shold expect there will be no upgrade for the OS then just as there has been no upgrade from 3.0 to 3.5 now.

Again I say, unless you have money to waste, this is a bad investment. It would be like buying a new case for your Pentium 133. No thanks!
