PalmVNC and PC with an dynamic IP

deskTop with an modem dial-up connection to the internet
Visor DLX and SprintPCS QNC wireless internet connection

If I have my PC connect to the internet and get an dynamic IP, the PalmVNC works well. However I cannot keep my dial-up connecting all day long.
Is there a way that I can connect my visor to my PC directly and use PalmVNC?
