Does anybody know why they don't take American Express? Will they ever accept AE?

Just curious.

Many places do not use American Express at all. AE charges merchants close to double the transaction cost that Visa, Master card, and Discover charge. You'llnotice most online and offline stores will not take AE. Thouse the charges are getting lower and more merchants are using them again.
