Exclamation

(1) A cellphone speaker (GoNoHands.com) commercial. Shows a graphite visor in a man's hand as he is trying to drive, and swerves all over. Can tell that it is a visor because of SB slot cover and old-style stylus in hand. Maybe the people were so stupid that they thought the Visor is a cellphone. No- there wasn't a cellphone module in it.

(2) Back of Popular Science magazine (Green VD).
Pages 1 - 10 are in the magazine twice!!

Actually Thomas Jefferson used an Orange Visor to write the Declaration of Independence(Silkyboard), and he also used it to keep tabs on how his hemp crops were coming along.

In fact its noted in many history texts, that Jefferson and Sam Adams, both signers of the Declartaion, got into heavy heated disputes in the Continetal Congress over which was better, Jefferson's OVDlx or Adams' Palm V. In one case it nearly came to blows. Of course all the colonists were tired of King George trying to force off WinCE on them. This was orginally what united the colonies to revolt. Patrick Henry's original words were "Give me Palm or give me death". This was later changed to Liberty, after Henry attempted to use the Liberty crack and found it deleted his copy of the Declaration.

Just thought I'd clear up some of the facts.

I'm disapointed in you. Surely you know that the last real man was born sometime prior to WW1 (and all men born when there was still a frontier were by definition real men); and real men don't use protectors of any kind - no blade protectors on saws, no safety razors (Heck! Why shouldn't a razor double as a piece of self-defense equipment?!?), and especially no screen protectors allowed!

Just doin' my share to push this thread further into "Off Topic" land.

If you dig a little further you'll find that the #1 cuase for duels in the 1700 and 1800s was Handspring vs Palm. In fact the most famous of all American duels between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr was over the fact that Burr continually chided Hamilton about his choice of a Deluxe Visor.

The second leading cause of duels in this period of American history was between Visor owners over which color was best. Duels were really romantized in later years in an effort to "clean up" American history.

By the by, the "honor" of a woman was the 5th on the list (just after Palm vs. WinCE).

Looks like Christine Bransky (sp?) had a Visor in the premier of Welcome to New York last week.

Cool

While bemoaning the lack of adequate reading material in my bathroom, I noticed that there is a giant add with an orange VDX inside the back cover of "Oprah".

Talking

If you (or your wife, girlfriend, mom) read Better Homes and Gardens, Orange Visor ad is in the latest issue. The color matches with pumpkin cheese case & Thanksgiving yams

My wife proudly showed me a picture of a Blue VDX with the Eyemodule in her latest Martha Stewart Living mag.

fixitgal ~ OUCH! I spent 20min with photoshop making that! My Visor is STILL blue, but I wanted a different color, so I made one up. Looked really good 'till I shrunk it down...shouldn't have used the picture with the Visor in the cradle. Then I pasted a Frazetta print on it and "presto-chango", I had the FIRST color Visor with a purple case. *sigh*, guess I'll have to re-do if it looks mangled...

When it's bigger, it looks a lot better than a spray painted silver case(which I'll probably end up with)a-la Platnium.

This one you have to look really close for-
in an American Express Small Business Services Offer Zone Ad in the October 23, 2000 newsweek (p. 33). It is on the desk, in cradle.

Post A couple weeks old

This one is a couple of weeks old:

New York Times
Sunday October 15, 2000. Section 3, page 2.

"In my...Briefcase" column hilighting "...one of the most sought-after venture capatilists in Silicon Valley, John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers..."

It shows a picture of the contents of his briefcase (including a Visor - too small to tell what color, though) with several items having lines going from them to a text comment. His comment for the Visor says:

HANDSPRING VISOR"Definately the thing I use the most. I use it all the time, every day."

Thumbs up

The T.V. Show "Blind Date" uses an Orange visor in one of their silly graphics.

The Devil uses a Visor.

Actually I can't tell what it is. Looks like a Visor but the cradle looks like a Palm cradle.
