My favorite Visor use: sync it every morning and take the NY Times to the bathroom where I take care of business. Can anybody beat that?

p.s. I use Avantgo- no complaints...

Just wait until you get your wireless module and can carry your Visor to the bathroom and elsewhere and read the NY Times, surf the web and do other neat things in real time. Bring on the Springboard Modules.

Reminds me of school. Sometimes you'd hear nothing but the nice music of Tetris coming from the stalls.. Cracks me up.

I used to pass the time reading Avantgo, but I'm getting back into books so I take the visor in with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as my stallmate So much better than having the actual book back and forth.

Where did you get the HG to the Galaxy?!?!?! I've been looking for that for awhile now! I'd love to have all 4 volumes on the visor.

Was it free or did you purchase it?

Found it at a textfiles.com site. I have all -5- actually. I wanted them so bad I had almost thought of typing them in myself Not bad either, roughly 160k per book (after converting to palm).

Hehe...I'm just waiting to hear horror stories of someone dropping it down below. If you go to a Palm website that lists horror stories, 70% are of people who've lost their Palm that way.

Cool

You'd better get a waterproof and floating case soon... check out the accessories section... I think there was a case there

Do you think Handspring CS will replace a *flushed* VDx...?

Reminds me of the Sienfeld episode where George was in the bookstore and took a book off the shelf into the bathroom. They made him buy the book and everytime he tried to return the book they refused because the book had been flagged as a "bathroom book."

Cool

Placing the Visor when finishing up does seem to be a problem. Maybe a wall mount next to the toilet paper would be a solution...

I ordered an extra rhodiana swivel belt clip, which I attached to the side of the TP roll holder so I can just "hang" my beloved visor to finish up. I need both hands...

The scariest thing about this thread is that it has the potential of becoming VisorCentral's most popular one...

I would suggest a toilet paper dispenser springboard module be developed.
That way since you always take your visor with you to the stall you will be prepared for when the roll in the stall is empty.

Hey spock:

Maybe all those little tiny post-it notes would come in handy after all.. Eww

I'm sure though you could fold up a few sheets and avoid the other seinfeld dilemma of not being able to "Spare a square"

Don't let the Japanese know about this.

They already have some sophisticated electronic toilets that do things like chemically monitor your "output" (so to speak) for early detection of cancer of the colon and other diseases.

I can just imagine the icky Springboard that could result from this...

Well I don't bring my VDX to the bathroom with me - but I do frequently read e-books on it while in the hottub. Pop the Visor into ziploc freezer bag and it's pretty safe
