Does anyone know the price range of the MP3 springboards?

Hopefully < $250. If it's more I'd just buy that Diamond Rio Mp3 player for $250. However I think it will be around 200 or less

I'd say it better be at least 50-75 bucks cheaper than the stand-alone ones, or what the hell is the point? Whooo, text display of the songs? Whatever. Is the Visor processor even fit for something like that, or is the springboard pretty much a way to feel like your machine is worth something even though the module is doing all the real work (and could easily do it on its own anyway) ?

Cool

Innogear is making the MP3 player springboards no bigger than 32megs. This is woefully small. I can't see myself buying them at any price. I can't picture buying one less than 64megs, and even then, I can't be sure.
I'm gonna wait for a larger model, unless you can buy the 32's in a 25 cent vending machine.

The MP3 player will have up to 32 Mb internal, but also will have a slot for an external memory card up to 64 Mb. So that's 96 Mb total. About 20-25 reasonable quality songs. Not terribly useful for me though, since I rip mine at 256 - so I would end up only getting about 10-12 songs at 96 Mb.

Buy.com has the Rio PMP 300 for sale at $120- with a $50 Rebate and another $50 off if you test drive a certain car. A Rio for $30 shipped doesn't sound bad at all to me
It's only 32 MB Of Memory, but I don't need to carry around my entire collection with me anyway...
