Yes I'm sure we all know by now that the stylus scratches the screen. However, few have offered any solutions that I have seen. What I want to know is if I should call Handspring and say I want a new one or if I should try to fix it on my own. I already 'fixed' the stylus with 1500 grit sandpaper but am hesitant to try anything on the lcd screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Check out the link to a pilotgearHQ product below. It appears to remove the scratch using a light buffing compound. This is probably very similar to the products that can be purchased for cds also. You may also be able to achive the same result for less money by picking up the lightest buffing commpound available for fiberglass or automotive detailing. http://store.yahoo.com/pilotgear/screenen1.html

Getting rid of them may be hard but you can prevent more by putting an adhesive sheet over the screen. I used Keep-a-memory which I got at Walmart. $3 for a lifetime supply (about 1/150th the price of similar products sold specifically for Palms).
