Angry

Grrr... I'm frozen! When I reset my Visor, it got stuck at the Palm Computing Platform screen. Whenever this happens, I have to Warm Reset, not letting me beam, or use X-Master. At first, I would install lots of programs at once, and when I was asked to Soft Reset, I would get stuck at the Palm Computing Platform screen. I thought that this was the problem. Not so. Now, I am painstakingly installing one at a time, allowing me to pass the Palm Computing Platform screen, but when I type on X-Master, the Visor will ask me to Soft reset, and, well, boom.
Now I think that it may have to do with my programs. Here they are:

Address
Archon
AvantGo
BeamBox
BigClock
CityTime
DaLauncher - dal.prc and dal-e.prc
ClockUpDA
FlipDA
VolumeDA
Date Book
Date Book+
Digichek
Expense
Giraffe
Graffiti
HandMirror
HardBall
HSAdvDCalcDB
IrChat
libmal
Mail
Matrix
Memo Pad
MineHunt
Mobile Link
Net Library [no idea what it does... scared to delete it because it might be AvantGo stuff]
Network
Palm OS Software
PalmGun
PalmPrint
PeanutReader
Undocumented Palm Info 2
Polyhedra
Pool
Puzzle
Sol Free
Solitaire [some neat encryption program]
Space Trader
SubHunt
Swatch
TaleLight
To Do List
X-Master
BackHack
ClearHack
Crash
FlipHack
Flip Graffiti
GadgetHack
MatrixHack
PadlockHack
TrekSounds Hack

Can anybody help me?

The following look like they do something at startup. I have no idea what they do and sound like they could be the cause of the problem. If you can, get X-Master to generate a list of what events are being modified and post that.

BeamBox
Crash

You might want to also remove ClockUpDA and see if that fixes your problem.

Good luck!

Do you have version 1.1 of X-Master? Version 1.0 was known to cause problems with the Visor. Sounds to me like this might be the problem, by the way you describe it.

However:

I never could get the newer versions of Matrix (which use MatrixHack) to work on my Visor Deluxe. I still have 1.0 on mine.

Some DA launchers don't get along well with the Visor. Try App/DA Launcher 0.5.4 and see if you still have problems. (I tried several on the emulator with my Visor's ROM and that is the only one I found that didn't generate any error messages.)

Since DA launchers typically are Hacks, the problem could be with the DA launcher or with the hack controller. And, do (can) you return to the default clock speed with ClockUpDA (which I run without problems) and still have the problem? Or does your DA launcher not depend on X-Master?

Aside from these, I dunno.
