Problem with Backup module & Edge

Ok, tried to use my Backup module with my Edge last night, which I was previously using with my Dlx. I popped the sled on, powerd up, and popped in the Backup module. The screen went blank, I saw the "One Moment Please" message (or whatever that message is before the backup application starts), and then returned to the app launcher screen.

I know the Backup module will work across Visors, since I had to replace my Dlx once and used the Backup module to restore it, but it won't even do that on the Edge. Any ideas?

Try removing the module and sled from the Edge. Blow out the springboard connector with some air. Do the same for the Edge side connector. Try it again. Sometimes I've found that lint or dirt will get on the sled connections and prevent it from working right.

Also, you said when you inserted the module, it hesitated and went to the application screen. Did the backup program show up there?

I transitioned from a VDx to Edge about 6 months ago. I used the backup module to set my system up. It worked seemlessly. I haven't had a problem since.

Good luck.
