Here's a good springboard case idea for those of you concerned about keeping springboard modules loose in your bag.
I just borrowed one of my sister's old gameboy cartridge cases. It's almost a perfect fit! If you open the case as you would a CD jewelcase, i.e., sideways, and place the springboard in rightside-up, there will be virtually no vertical "give". The module will be able to slide side-to-side, but you could easily stick a piece of foam rubber to keep the module in place. I'm not sure if these cases can be bought. My guess is that they could, but I'm not a gameboy user so I don't know.
It's not an elegant solution, but it's a temporary measure until some company realizes that there is a market for springboard cases. (Are you listening, anyone?)
This will only work for modules that are shaped like the 8mb flash modules.
