Ok, guys, i think we should start keeping track of all software that is currently incompatible with the Visor. These should be programs that make your Visor randomly reset, lock it up, or behave very strangely. After messing around a bit, here is my list along with the problem:

Launcher III - random resets every 5 minutes
Hackmaster - fatal exception errors. soft reset required
Viewer III - streaking the screen. soft reset required

I'm using Launcher III 1.5.2 and Hackmaster 0.91 with no problems at all. I think you need to look elsewhere for your soft reset problems.

actually, i have definitely narrowed launcher III as being one of the problems. other individuals on my hall have had the same problems with launcher. the version, however, is 1.5.1, which could be the source of the problem.

Cool

Also no problems with Launcher 1.5.1 nor with Hackmaster itself. Battery Monitor Hack kept shutting off the Visor. SaveScreen Hack wouldn't work although I noticed an updated version just came out. I've had a few problems with Switch Hack.

I've had problems with several battery utilities crashing the Visor. I finally settled on Battery Meter Hack (the OS 3.0/3.1 version) to display the battery voltage in the launcher (it also has support for alkaline, NiMh/NiCad, and lithium batteries). For battery tracking, I use ATool, which is a big mish-mosh of several useful functions.

Cool

I also settled on Battery Meter Hack, which worked great until I installed Find Ignore Hack. Battery Meter Hack then crashed my Visor even when it was the only hack running.

I deleted it then re-installed. OK again for a while, but it began doing strange things again. I don't know why this time. Anyone else using ATool?

I also have Launcher III v. 1.5.1 and have had no problems. Could it be another program that is giving L3 fits?

Also, VisorCentral has a Visor Incompatibility List (VIL) now. Go to the FAQ or Software section for details.
