Just a thought:
The VC AvantGO channel on my Visor is something about 120k. There are a bunch of reviews and articles that are quite old.
Is there a possibility to make the VC channel a little bit smaller by "dropping" older articles/reviews?
For example, only keep articles etc. in there that are not older than, say, 2 weeks or so?
If I am looking for detailed information on some topic I go to the VC website anyway, so it makes no sense for me to carry these articles around all the time.
Or is there a setting in the AvantGO menu that allows me to "drop" older contents?

Just a thought...

There is no such setting, but I wish that VC would manually do it. Speaking of the AvantGo channel -- Could you guys please get rid of the arrow near the bottom? I've been having nightmares about it lately!

I'm pretty new to AvantGo so pardon me if this is way out there, but would it be possible (or at all practical) to put the discussions in the VC channel? Just curious...

Maybe after there are 32MB Visors. UBB is difficult to make into an AvantGo format, and the discussion topics would be very large.

PDABuzz does a discussion preview. 10 messages with a maximum of 750 characters previewed (actually, that's the only thing really keeping me subscribed to it) It doesn't take much memory, either.

I created my own channel for the discussion board. It has a set limit of 500k and I used the "today's active topics" link on UBB so I'm only downloading current topics. It works out very well.

check out PalmInfoCenter's avantgo channel. Under each story you can actually post a short comment (right on your Visor!) and the next time you sync, it's on the channel!

I like that interactive feeling!

Some minor AvantGo channel maintenance was performed today.

Limited the "Reviews" and "Articles" sections to three (3) stories each.

Removed the arrow and replaced it with the text "top." We don't want to be the cause of parb33's nightmares
