I have had a great experience w/ my BVDx for the past two weeks until tonight. When I got home from school(I carry my visor in both the hard case and slip case in my pants pocket) I found that the LCD had several cracks under the surface.Does anyone know if this is common and if this is under warranty.

Unfortunately, I don't think it is covered under warranty.
If memory serves me correctly, a replacement screen is going to cost you $75.
But contact Handspring to be sure.

I accidently cracked the screen on my Blue Visor Deluxe, got the same response from Handspring. According to UPS they recieved my Visor on 12/23/99 and I'm still waiting for a replacement or my repaired Visor to return. I called them on 1/9 and suprise suprise they had no info or an explination for me!!! It seems the same inept 3rd party customer service outfits are handling repairs as well. After trying for 3 days I finally reached someone after 1.5 hours on hold on 1/12. They said "these ordres are taking longer than expected" and could not give me an exact time I would recieve my Visor back. Then he said he would expidite my order. This is the same story everyone got when they ordered. This is completely unacceptable!!!! Why tell your customer 5 days when you can't or won't meet that promise!!!!! I guess they haven't learned their lesson and in their mind Handspring comes first, not the customer. Well I finally got my visor back on 1/26/00. One month and 3 days instead of the 5 I was told! I hope noone else has this much trouble.
