I am trying to assign my buttons, and everyone says to go under Preferences. When I do, I do not get an option for buttons. What am I doing wrong???

Any help would be appreciated!

Tap on the pull-down menu on the top-right of the screen. You'll find you need there.

That's the problem. When I do that within the software, the only options I get to change are: Alarms, Contacts, Icons, Meetings, Todos & Call, List Week View, Month & Quarter Views, Split Agenda View and Colors.

When I tap on the upper right corner for Preferences when I'm not within the software, the ONLY option I'm getting is: "Remember Last Category" by icon or list.

What am I missing???

sounds like you're in the wrong 'preferences'; ie, the one for a specific piece of software. what you need are the preferences for the visor itself. to get there, you have to have the main menu on the screen, ie, not be within any program. click on 'prefs' in the main menu, then you should find the upper right menu offers 'buttons'

By default, the Prefs app is located on the System page of the default launcher screen (and you can get to it on the All page as well). Once in Prefs, tap in the upper right corner and select Buttons. Then assign them to your hearts content!

Thanks for your help! My problem was my Prefs app wasn't there! I have Autolock installed, and it moved my Pref App into that program. I was able to go in there & assign my buttons!

I feel so much better now!
